Driver: Randy C. Rubin
Age:41
Occupation:Litigation attorney
Where did you come from?:Roseburg, OR
Did you tow it out or drive it?:Towed to Boise, drove it from Idaho Falls to Boise covered in dried cow mud.
How long have you been off-roading?:26 years
What got you into 4x4s?:Too many tickets on the road. Off road, almost anything goes. Being an attorney also helps.
Favorite part of the trip:It's a toss up between completing the first trail without breaking a fourth front driveline or watching Trent working on his great escape from being duct taped to the plastic chair. (If you need photos I have them!)
What was your least favorite part of the trip?:Driving through and over the Mormon crickets.
Hardtop, soft top, or no top:Bikini top
Would you want to work for a 4x4 mag now that you've met us and seen what we do?:Sure! Part time would be better. I would miss my day job and income.
Would you kick out your co-driver if we had a supermodel to ride in your truck?:Sure! My co-pilot walked most of the rock trails and got out for the mud. Hell, there was plenty of room in Jeff Nasi's ride for Virgle
Would you do it again next year, or would it be asking too much of your battered body?:I would do it again in a heartbeat! Anytime, anywhere!
Favorite truck on the trip (besides your own):Trent's Superlift YJ. The coilover front suspension is trick!
