2005 Toyota Tacoma
Here is a real test for Toyota, a composite bed. Though the outer skins of the truck bed are steel, the inside is a sheet-molded compound of some sort that is 10 percent lighter than steel, yet claimed tougher and more durable. It's not a drop-in liner, but rather the actual inner bedsides. We like the idea, but we'll hold our verdict until we get to haul our 800 pounds of County Fair-winning hog around in the bed for a few hundred miles.
