At this year's Wagoner Machine Shop's Big Meat Run in Oklahoma, about 40 bigger and heavier 44-inched rigs drove directly to some brand-new trails just outside of Clayton, Oklahoma, that local enthusiasts call Mr. Freiling's Promised Land. The private multi-acre off-road play park is available primarily due to the trail cutting of Texas' Fort Worth/Dallas Four Wheel Drive and is open to anyone who drops the $10 land-use fee into the pay-at-the-pump pay station. The fee allows you to traverse some of the toughest trails in the country, like the Staircase and all the TSOBs you can handle.

But a one-day event is not enough for the "hard-to-beat big meats." Day two's trailers and tractor-trailer transports took the rigs to Grand Lake (Disney), Oklahoma, where they teased the obstacles called Nose Dive, the Wailing Wall, Waterfall, Blaster Hill, and Little Blue.

With stuff like John Sumner's triple transfer-cased, dual 14-bolt-axled, "Get You Some" Scrambler and Phil Beauchamp's mini-monster-trucked, front/rear hydraulic-steer, dual deuce-and-a-halfed CJ, we can't wait to see what'll happen at the next Big Meat run. The annual run takes place on St. Patrick's Day weekend, and now the shop is hosting both East and West Coast events.
