Big-inch horsepower, flying mud, and busted parts always please a crowd. That's why Show-Me Off-Road Events and Gateway Unlimited Mud Bog Organization (GUMBO) got together to hold nonprofit events for charity. Don't be fooled though, there were some serious competitors in St. Charles, Missouri, looking to grab the 100-percent class payback-perhaps the biggest purses in the nation for boggin'.
Competitors came from as far away as Colorado for classes ranging from Real Street 4x4s to Pro Modified and Altered. Two pits were used for the competition. The Fast Track was used for less modified vehicles as well as the high-horse sleds that skim the surface of the muck. The Deep Pit was used for challenging the other classes. Everything from 200,000-mile smoking daily drivers to unlimited-budget boggers came to the festivities. With so many classes for each type of vehicle no one had an unfair advantage.
