There ain't nothin' like a good old beer-drinkin', pretzel-munchin' day at the track. Of course, it's hardly any fun if there isn't at least one wreck. Don't lie. We bet you're the same way. You feel cheated if you don't see a few yellow flags, and you only truly feel you got your money's worth when the red flag comes out. It's just human nature. We always need to look at the accident on the highway, gawk at the dude getting busted by the cops (hopefully they beat his criminal ass while you're videotaping), and buy the compilation video of the world's worst plane crashes caught on tape.
Maybe that's why we're drawn time and time again to the Goodyear/Skyjacker Extreme Rockcrawling Nationals. The American Rock Crawler Association sanctions these events and makes sure each is tougher than the last. However, they may be hard-pressed to outdo themselves of this latest event in Cedar City, Utah.
While we saw a few YJs with stock axles and spring-under lifts as recently as last year, most now are full-blown psycho jobs on which you'd be lucky to find a stock component.
