Cruising through the green rolling hills of Virginia down I-64 on our way to the 2001 Camp Jeep odyssey, our right hand was just itching to shift the NVG231 into low-range. With every passing mile we got closer to the Oak Ridge Estate, where 10,000 of our fellow Jeepers, in 2,500 Jeeps, were funneling toward a three-day weekend of fun. Our Liberty just about went into autopilot as we started seeing signs for the event just outside of Charlottesville, and we knew we were in store for a weekend of fun and Jeep celebration.
We got to tell you; Jeep knows how to throw a party. They know what you like, what your wife likes, and what your kids like. Jeep guys have families too, so they figured out how to offer you great trail rides, Jeep tech, and off-road glory, while making it look like the perfect family vacation. These guys are geniuses, but if you drive a Jeep you already knew that. There were cooking classes, historical reenactments, kayaking trips, fly casting lessons, rockclimbing, engineering talks, lectures, slide shows, giveaways, shopping, food, and a LeAnn Rimes concert.
All right, there were off-road trails, winching demonstrations, a Jeep 101 training course, radio-controlled airplanes, paint ball guns, rope courses, BMX bike demos, and quad runner rides too. Camp Jeep has been tailor made to suit your every need. Hey, it's a Jeep thing-and they understand it perfectly. You owe it to your Jeep (OK, you can come too) to call Camp Jeep Information at 800/789-JEEP to make your reservations for next year's event. We already have!
