The Great Lakes JeepThing club is getting ready for its 7th annual Toys for Tots parade through downtown Chicago - and you can join them! Last year, almost 300 drivers helped fill two semi truck trailers with toys for needy children.
Drivers will meet on the morning of December 11 and decorate their rigs before a scenic parade along Lake Michigan and through downtown Chicago. After delivering the toys to the Marines Head Quarters, there will be a party and a raffle to win a set of 33-inch Firestone Destination MT tires.
The entry fee is one BRAND NEW toy in the original packaging, but drivers are encouraged to collect donations from family and friends and show up with multiple toys. For more information, go to the GLJT web site or contact their president, Brandon Turner.
