We have seen some great strides come in the Toyota axle market, what with chromoly shafts and near-bulletproof CVs. Unfortunately these axles are still running smallish ring-and-pinions and when mixed with 40-inch tires and Southern California rock, they may just leave you back in camp pulling the third member and fixing Birfields. Bummer, Dude.
