The town of Regent was waiting for the UA crew to arrive. For those of us who had never lived on a farm or experienced life in small-town America, it was definitely an eye-opener. Inside the museum there was a schoolhouse from the early 1900s, and a store that was abandoned years ago with goods still on the shelf. Our guide was a gentleman who was born and raised in the town. He told us hair-raising tales about the days he used to walk upstairs to the doctor's office to receive medical and dental treatment without local anesthetics or painkillers. View Related Article
