Gopher Dunes comprises 200 acres, half of which are open space with multiple mud holes. These four open mud holes are set up so that each driver can take a shot, and they usually run one or two at a time. Each hole is manned by a giant John Deere tractor that's ready for extraction and operates on a first-stuck, first-unstuck basis. The wheelers were amazingly patient awaiting their turn.
