Daytona Beach, Florida, is home to many great things: sand you can drive on, a race track where teams go very fast in a circle, waves you can swim in, surf shops and miniature golf courses to idle away your time at, and now Jeep Beach, a giant beach gathering of every make and model of Jeep. We attended this year and had a blast. The wheeling isn’t extreme by any means, but the atmosphere is idyllic, especially if you stay at the host hotel, Shore’s Resort and Spa, which is situated right on the sand. Jeep Beach is more of a giant party with tons of vendors and participants and some manmade obstacles than it is a deep-woods trail event. But if you’re in Florida and looking for an event with other like-minded Jeep owners you don’t want to miss it. It’s put on by the Mid Florida Jeep Club, and they end the weekend with a grand parade of Jeeps down the sandy beach.
