Ways to tell if you can trust the people spotting you: 1) They use only one hand. 2) They primarily use their thumb and index (pointer) finger to motion direction in which you should move. 3) They do not stand right in front of where you are trying to maneuver your vehicle. 4) They are focused on what you are doing and not chatting with the spectators. 5) Most of all, you should feel comfortable with the people spotting you. If the knowledge of your vehicle and your driving ability direct you to do or not do something you should follow your intuition. In other words, listen to reason. Sometimes that comes from a spotter and sometimes that comes from within you. |
