The final event of the Rock Crawlers Association of America (RCCA) was held Friday and Saturday in Johnson Valley, California. Around 60 vehicles vied for the coveted top spot in the RCCA annual year-end event. The extremely technical, timed course resulted in numerous rollovers, breakage, and associated carnage, however, many of the competitors exhibited elegant driving skills as well.
The drama included the last-second-of-the-last-course moment in which one driver snapped off the transfer case; another driver righted his rig by himself and then completed the course after a roll.
