1977 Ford Bronco - School's In

In addition to being a school teacher, Karl Bradley is a member of the Carolina Trailblazers. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that, aside from teaching the local whipper-snappers their ABCs, Karl has shown the residents of Gerton, North Carolina, how to build a really nice early Bronco.

This is Karl's fourth Bronco, so he wanted to do it right. That entailed performing a complete frame-off restoration over the course of eight months. The results speak for themselves. With Viper yellow paint spread over the new sheetmetal and a Ford GT-40 crate engine under the hood, the Bronco should feel as comfortable on the show circuit as when it's tearin' it up off road.

A parts list including names such as Wild Horses, Currie, James Duff, and Ford Motorsports reads like a who's who of Bronco building-not to mention the custom twister radius arm. We're starting to see more and more of these trucks set up this way, and with good reason-they seem to work well in a variety of situations. Lesson learned.
