1979 Ford F150 Engine
If it's not part of the engine, then it's Lazer Red. Brett had the 400M rebuilt to put out about 300 horses at the flywheel. The stock C6 and NP205 are just about as bombproof as it gets for factory-offered componentry.

1979 Ford F150 Interior
The Ford Motorsports GT steering wheel offsets the completely redone interior. The cage is fully functional and is a must for any truck that sees big air dune time.

1979 Ford F150 Door Panels
It's easier to get a backstage pass to a KISS concert than to find unbroken 20-year-old Ford door panels. Instead of bothering, Brett went with these ultra-clean aluminum replacements with uncomfy solid armrests.

The skidplate and prerunner bumper offset the front end and help make up for the dorky No Fear sticker on the Rancho steering stabilizer. The Dana 44 is all stock down to the 3.55s. We usually don't point things like this out in features, but we've gotten a lot of hate mail for bashing Ford power steering. Check out the gacked fluid on the front axle!

1979 Ford F150 Rear
The stock 9-inch rear still sports 3.55 gears and drum brakes, but a truss helps keep the housing from breaking into a smile when Brett whomps on it. The single 211/42-inch Flowmaster dumps down in front of the axle away from trail obstacles. It's OK in pickups, but sport/utilities should try to run the exhaust in such a way that the occupants won't play possum permanently.
