Even with 6 1/2 inches bobbed off the back there is enough room to carry a fullsize spare, a toolbox, and enough propane to barbeque for an entire block. The Indigo Blue body panels were neatly trimmed then coated with a chip-guard protecting adhesive, allowing Brett to stuff the 42-inch TSLs inside the fender scrub-free.

Resting between 4-inch springs, a custom torque arm was built to keep the Unimog 404 axle from crawling out from under the truck. Also added was a Dan Foss orbital valve that shoots power to the Performance Off-Road 3-inch double-ended ram controlled by a load-reactive valve.

Factory cable lockers and an overall ratio of 7.56:1 at the wheels keep this blue beast crawling forward, while Corvette four-piston calipers give the truck its whoa. Notice the custom links attached at both ends of the axle, used to center the knuckles. We like the possibility of converting to rear steer without having to perform a complete teardown.
