KDSS, or Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, is Toyota's answer to sway-bar disconnect. A fore/aft hydraulic system detects changes in wheel position. While cornering on the highway, wheels remain on the same relative plane and the sway bar remains ridged. Get into some whoop-de-doos and the system releases tension on the sway bar, allowing the axles to articulate.
