One of the best parts of the four-wheeling hobby is that there is no right or wrong vehicle to own. From everyday pickups to turnkey buggies, every 4x has its rightful place, and most are as unique as the people who drive them. While we can't say that Bryan Zeigler's digital camouflage wrap helped him blend into the Tennessee forest, it worked perfectly to grab our attention and make us take a closer look at his very custom '92 Geo Tracker.

Inside, the Geo is surprisingly spacious. And while a soft top separates the occupants from the elements, a custom 13/4-inch DOM rollcage adds a little safety barrier for those unplanned trail moments.
Modified by the crew at Liberty Overland in Albany, Oregon, this trail-capable Tracker is built for any adventure, big or small. Though the lightweight two-door might not seem like the perfect cross-country wheeler, that's exactly what Bryan built it for. In fact, shortly after completing the build Bryan hopped behind the wheel and piloted the V-6-powered Geo all the way from Oregon to his home state of Tennessee. Taking his time and hitting a few wheeling stops along the long trek home, Bryan was pleased to discover that his Geo performed great on a variety of terrains. So while the South may be where this Tracker calls home, it's always ready for a far-reaching off-road adventure.

Sitting in place of the factory independent front suspension is a custom straight-axle conversion crafted by the crew at Liberty Overland. Supporting the lightweight platform are Bilstein shocks and Hyperco springs at all four corners.
To give the Geo some extra...
To give the Geo some extra go power, a 2.5L from an '03 Suzuki Grand Vitara was swapped in place of the factory engine. And with a healthy V-6 under the hood, the Tracker has more than enough go power on and off the road.
A Toyota rear axle plucked...
A Toyota rear axle plucked from an '88 pickup offers more beef outback, while a custom four-link secures it in place. To finish off the rearend and give the 37-inch MTZs an even bite, Bryan fitted the rear axle with 5.29 gears and a spool.
