ExperimentalEveryone seems to get stuck in the mud when they fall into someone else's ruts and can't get out. When this happens the only options you have are to saw the wheel left and right to find new traction or try to reverse out. We think that four-wheel steering could be a huge advantage when you get in this situation because it would allow you to turn all four wheels left and right to hopefully pop yourself out of trouble. With four-wheel steering you may even be able to crab-walk over ruts without falling into them. The other technology we'd like to see more of is a four-wheel independent suspension mud truck. You don't need axle articulation in the mud and we think the static ground clearance would be a huge advantage. We don't see many H1 Hummer owners taking their trucks in the deep stuff, but we bet that with less weight and more power this configuration could be the hot setup for mud.
