Wild hearts can buy their very own Tomb Raider D90, as Land Rover will produce 250 Tomb Raider Limited Edition Defender 90 Station Wagons or Defender 110 Double Cabs.
"The Tomb Raider LEs will appeal to active drivers looking for a vehicle that delivers serious fun as well as off-road performance," managing director of Land Rover UK Mike Wright said.
The limited edition D110s will come exclusively in Bonatti gray, and have diamond-plate protection, a roof rack, alloy wheels, off-road spot lights, a rear step, rock sliders, and specially commissioned fabric seat covers. And that's just the fluff stuff. The real live action adventure comes with the burly Td5 turbodiesel with a high-pressure electronic injector system, traction control, four-pin locking differentials, coil-sprung suspension, and ventilated front disc brakes.
Other off-road appurtenances include a rollcage, a detachable winch with front and rear mounting points and in-board stowage, long-range fuel tanks, GPS, skidplates for the oil sump, differentials, a gearbox, a steering box, recovery hooks, an off-road recovery kit, and a fire extinguisher. 35th Sierra Trek
The yearly Sierra Trek, hosted by the California Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs, drew hundreds of vehicles and nearly 1,500 attendees from throughout California and the western United States. The infamous trek is a four-day event that begins at a main campsite in a 600-acre meadow near Meadow Lake, about 25-miles north of Truckee, California. The campers, wheelers, and attendees run trails, like the Fordyce Creek Trail with scenic mountainscapes and challenging rockcrawling. Next year's event will be held in the High Sierras. Coolest Reading Place Contest-December WinnersAs always here's your chance for fame. The simple rules are:
