Send Us Your 4x4 Product Ideas

By Jerrod Jones

Want to know how to get your stuff in New Products? If you have a new truck- or 4x4-related product you'd like us to help you debut, e-mail an image and some text to newproducts@4wheeloffroad.com. Please have all images be no less than 1600 x 1200 pixels (or two megapixels) and be saved as a TIFF, an EPS, or a maximum-quality JPEG file so our art director doesn't shoot us. We can't use images off of any Word documents or Adobe Acrobat files, so be sure to include a separate image in the proper format, or it won't be run. Thanks again. We love seeing all the new stuff you guys come up with!

February 2007 4X4 Products Blender

How about a hand-crank blender for the trail, for those of you who don't have a compressed air-driven one yet (jeez, where have you been?). It'll mix smoothies, shakes, and cocktails, and will even crush ice and process food with a two-speed gear system. It has a 1.5L capacity with a pour-through Lexan lid. It's secured to your vehicle with a C-clamp design. Information: Vortex, www.mountainsmith.com

February 2007 4X4 Products Gauges

Auto Meter has new 3 3/4-inch tachometers for areas where the Monster 5-inch versions just won't fit. They come with all the same great features but also have a patented super-sleek bezel design. The new Mini Monsters are available in the Cobalt, Sport-Comp II, Phantom II, NV, C2, or Ultra-Lite II models. Information: Auto Meter Products, 815.895.8147, www.autometer.com

The kit utilizes four upper and lower long arms, a new drop-pitman arm, a front adjustable track bar, and an extended shackle for more rear travel. The kit comes complete with new leaf springs instead of blocks, and will stuff up to a 33-inch tire, while controlling them with no bumpsteer. February 2007 4X4 Products Fairlead

This is the perfect fairlead for those of you who want to teach a lesson to those danged friends who keep leaning on the front of your 4x4. The aluminum fairlead is machined out of 6061 T6 aluminum and mounts on most bumpers/winches. And the 304 stainless spikes are the bolts that attach your fairlead to your winch. Information: Mountain Machine LLC, 734.480.2200

February 2007 4X4 Products Flame Thrower

Pertronix has a simple upgrade to up the heat in your ignition system. The Flame Thrower HEI modules are available for '80-'95 GM trucks and 4x4s to ensure trouble-free operation and 50-state legality. February 2007 4X4 Products Long Arm Kit

Anarchy Offroad has come out with a long-arm kit that you can use on your '03-'06 Dodge Ram with 2-8 inches of suspension lift. To keep a smooth ride, they adapt Chrysler factory bushings onto one side of the arms, while the other side benefits from Johnny Joints. They'll increase your suspension's flexibility for any off-road activity. Information: Anarchy Offroad, 801.262.4490, www.anarchyoffroad.com

February 2007 4X4 Products Axle Caps

Want to keep mud and water out of your Dana 60 axles? Try on some of these Mad 4wd outer axle seals. They'll protect your inner axle seals and work with aftermarket or stock axleshafts. The seals are molded one-piece designs encapsulated in nickel-plated bodies that are resistant to corrosion. Information: Mad 4wd, 330.549.9082, www.mad4wd.com

February 2007 4X4 Products Jackstrap

Flexy Suspension is great, until you want to jack your tire off the ground. This is where the Jackstrap comes in handy. While your ride is still on the ground, you simply loop the Jackstrap around the axle and attach it to the frame, tighten the strap, and then jack your vehicle up. The strap will keep the suspen-sion in place, therefore lifting the tire off the ground enough to change it. Information: Rimrock Mountain Supply, 425.430.1445, www.rimrockmtn.com
