Use cardboard or posterboard for body-panel templates. We made the firewall, floorboards, and body panels out of 1/8-inch aluminum that we sourced through the local Industrial Metal Supply. Thinner material could have been used, but since we were going to mount things like the fuel-injection computer to the firewall and were not extremely concerned with weight, we felt 1/8 will be OK. View Related Article
