With just about any turbodiesel upgrades, you’re wise to install a pyrometer so you can watch the exhaust-gas temperature and keep your engine out of the danger zone. This three-gauge pod is available from ATS and houses an accurate trans temp gauge, EGT gauge, and boost gauge. For a very new engine like ours, 1,300 degrees on the EGT gauge is when you let out of the throttle. You’ll want to let the temperature come down to 400 degrees before shutting the engine off to keep from burning the oil in the turbo and shortening its life. View Related Article
