Brown's Colorado JeepThe pride and joy of Fort Collins, Colorado, resident Chris Brown is a '79 CJ-7. Upgrades include a '91 Chevy TBI 350, a T18 with a 6.32 First gear, and a Dana 30 front with 4.10 gears and a Lock-Right. Superlift springs with front shackle reversal, and 33-inch Interco Thornbirds on 10-inch aluminum rims have also been added. A Tomken machined-rear bumper, U-bolt skids, shackles, and a steering brace round out this rockcrawler.
Faloni's California ChevyThe '80 Chevy Custom 10 of Healdsburg, California, resident Doug Faloni has a V-8 that's bored 0.030 over. High-performance Chevy heads, an Edelbrock cam, an Edelbrock intake, an Edelbrock 750-cfm carb, and Hedman headers all ensure ultimate engine performance. The SM465 transmission was rebuilt and an NP205 transfer case was added. Other mods include a 4-inch lift, dual Flowmaster exhausts, and 33-inch General Grabber MTs.
Perry's Utah FordThe daily driver of Salt Lake City resident Charlie Perry is none other than this '81 Ford Bronco. The list of goods includes a 400 engine with Mallory ignition, 4.11 gears with a Detroit Locker in the rear, a rebuilt NP208 transfer case, and a Smitty front bumper. The 35-inch BFG Mudders were added after a 6-inch Skyjacker lift was installed. Minor creature comforts such as new carpet, reupholstered seats, and a Pioneer CD player can be found inside.
Bachmeyer's Texas ChevyAaron Bachmeyer of Taylor, Texas, bought his '94 Chevy Z-71 pickup entirely stock. Over the past year several modifications were made, including a 3-inch Trail Master body lift and a 4-inch Pro Comp suspension lift. Aaron also added to his list of mods a K&N air filter, a Flowmaster exhaust, a Hypertech Powerchip, a Powerstat, and a Pro Comp steering stabilizer. The truck rides on 35-inch BFG Mud-Terrains.
Hemp's Wisconsin ChevyJosh Hemp of Neillsville, Wisconsin, spent much time and money to build his '80 Chevy 31/44-ton pickup from the ground up. The engine is a 350 small-block Chevy that has been beefed up with performance parts inside and out. A 4-inch suspension lift and a 3-inch body lift clear the way for the 35-inch Super Swampers. A custom paint job was also completed on the truck.
Thomas' California ChevyTim Thomas of Santa Maria, California, has a '72 Chevy 11/42-ton 4x4 Cheyenne Stepside pickup and a twin brother named Scott. While we don't know much about Scott's specs, we do know that the truck has a 350 engine with an Edelbrock Torquer II manifold, a 750 carb, and new 3.73 gears. A 4-inch suspension lift was performed to make room for the 33-inch BFG Mud-Terrain tires mounted on 15-inch M/T Challengers.
Gunthers' California FordGreg and Lori Gunther's '96 Ford Bronco has never run hotter than normal-even in the 128-degree Palm Springs, California, summers with the air on full blast. The stock 351 motor with JBA chrome headers and Flowmaster mufflers breathes through a K&N air filter. A 611/42-inch Stage II suspension lift was performed, followed by the addition of 35-inch Mudders with Warn manual locking hubs. Greg tells us the top comes off too.
Ethier's Mississippi DakotaDaniel Ethier, a mechanic with the U.S. Navy Seabees stationed in Gulfport, Mississippi, decided to increase his '98 Dodge Dakota's off-roading prowess, which will be tested in the Connecticut winter once his tour of duty ends. The 318ci engine breathes through a K&N air filter and a Flowmaster exhaust. A 3-inch body lift, a Tuff Country 511/42-inch lift, and Superlift four-inch blocks in the rear provide room for the 35-inch Mickey Thompsons.
