For now, the drivetrain package has remained unchanged, with a 5.3L Vortec engine backed by a 4L60E transmission. We noticed that the battery was moved from the standard driver-side front location to the back corner of the passenger side of the engine compartment, even though the original battery tray was still there. We're curious why they moved it, and we appreciate that they left the unfilled tray so it would be easy to mount dual batteries. View Related Article
