Guess im a little late at showing my find. While perusing ebay i was interested in finding a vintage mustang mainly because i really dig the lines and the good looks not to mention the nostalgia of owning a fine piece of history. i came upon this car and the bidding was about to end after i had watched it for several days and noone had bid on it. it looked like the weeds had grown up around this car and the car itself had taken a beating. as time was running out i bid and only the minimum thinking i woulnt get it but hey it was worth trying. so i won the bidding on the car at just a little over $1000 dropped the folks an email to have them call me so we can work out the details on me driving from Kentucky to Oklahoma to get it. when the call arrived i was told that the car was all original and that they still had the original straight 6 engine and the c4 tranny to go with it. The lady that owned the car told me that she was the third owner and that her father was the second owner, engine had been overhauled recently. by this time im thinking this is too good to be true right? im just dreaming ill wake up and it will all be over. NOPE the only bad part was that the father in law was driving the car and had hit a horse! so there was a replacement hood, lower valance, fender and headlight assy. yup all included even with a new bumper, original radio, new shocks still in the boxes in the back floor board, original radiator and the tires on the car were new before the accident 10 years ago. Upon arrival at their house i was told that they had misplaced the title ok not a problem but they informed me that they had the first original title but they couldnt find it and it had the dealerships name on it that was in Oklahoma City. and yes the all metal tag on the trunklid is still there that the dealership had put on the car when it arrived on their lot. the headliner was still in mint condition and the rear seats just need to be cleaned, shoulder belts still intact along headliner but faded, very little rust mostly surface rust from not the new parts not getting a coat of primer and sitting for 10 years out in the weather. And so here i am now rebuilding the entire front end to get a glimpse at how shes gonna look. i have decoded the vin and door tag and found out it was made in Dearbourne Michigan, shipped to Oklahoma City Oklahoma 200 cid straight 6 c4 automatic tahoe turquoise exterior lt/drk aqua interior made on May 17 1968. Oh and guess what day i picked the car up?? you guessed it May 17 2008, exactly 40 years from its birthdate, something is telling me that this is the car car i have been looking for. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/akhunter_2006/S4020047.jpg heres the biggest rust through spot the rest of the quarters have less than this http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/akhunter_2006/S4020018.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/akhunter_2006/S4020013-1.jpg so i will be around asking a lot of questions because this is my first restoration project, so please excuse me if i ask a bunch of silly questions. All advice you folks throw my way will be warmly welcomed.

Is the Volt already Doomed!

Nissans pure-electric car by 2010. Is the Volt already Doomed!
Nissan, who has been pretty quiet about its ‘green’ vehicle onslaught, said yesterday that it plans to start selling electric cars by 2010. The Japanese automaker plans on mass producing lithium-ion batteries by next year with 13,000 units planned a annually. Nissan says that output will than climb to 65,000 by 2011 with a target of selling electric cars worldwide by 2012. Speaking to the press on Tuesday, CEO Carlos Ghosn, said that Nissan will price its electric cars very competitively but will generate quick profits. He said that any electric car sold in the U.S. will target a range of at least 100 miles between charges to be practical for the North American market. Ghosn said that European drivers could do with about half that range. Ghosn said that Nissan will only make cars that produce ‘zero tailpipe emissions.’ Unlike other vehicles being produced by its rivals that run on gasoline engines and still emit some emissions, Ghosn said that producing alternative fuel cars that still require oil is “unsustainable.” “I want a pure electric car. I don’t want a range extender. I don’t want another hybrid,” Ghosn told reporters “It’s not going to be zero emissions in certain conditions. It’s going to be zero emissions.” Strong choice of words and we’re very impressed. http://www.egmcartech.com/2008/07/24/nissan-says-its-pure-electric-no-emission-cars-will-be-profitable-from-the-start/#more-23893

Good interior too. It has some rust spots on the usual places, it has 13,000 miles on the odometer and low low rims, but he crashed or side-swiped as he says a semi on the freeway. Nothing more than a bent radiator support, messed up fender, broken headlight and grille. The engine gave out it was the I-6 since he never changed the oil, had it replaced with another one, but his dad quit helping him and needs the radiator installed, alternator plug needs to be replaced, and a few things here and there...But he doesn't have the tools... I offered him 600 to 1,000 on it. He said he'll think about it since he's going back to school soon and wont have time to fix it. Is it a fair price for one of those? I'm bored and need a new hobby car.

Music or Wal-Mart are under DRM protection. You cannot play them on your own mobile devices other than iPod and iPhone. You cannot convert the DRM protected music files to MP3 or WMA directly with iTunes media player, either. However you can burn the protected music files to CD-R or CD-RW disc to make an audio CD and then use some CD ripper software to convert the audio CD track back to MP3, WAV, WMA, etc. And iTunes allows you to burn the protected music files to CD-R or CD-RW disc to make a standard audio CD. If you have only a few music files, you can use the method below: 1. Insert a CD-R or CD-RW disc into your CD-ROM drive. You'd better use CD-RW disc as it can be used for more than once. 2. Burn your playlist to make an audio CD. You cannot select the MP3 CD option since it requires the protected music files be converted to unprotected MP3 files. 3. After the audio CD is successfully burned, insert the disc into your CD-ROM drive again. Then you can use iTunes to import the music tracks on the burned disc to MP3 files. 4. Copy the MP3 files to media players such as cell phone, Zune, BlackBerry, PSP, Creative Zen, etc. and enjoy them. These four steps seem very simple, however, it is a time consuming process if you have a library of music files ready to be converted. Moreover, the information of the music files like title, artist and album will be lost after burning and ripping back to MP3 files. TuneClone is the software you are looking for if you have a big collection of iTunes music files to be converted. It automatically generates a virtual CD burner and simulates the burning and ripping process. All you need to do is install TuneClone and then burn your playlist to TuneClone virtual CD burner. And TuneClone will directly convert the music files to MP3 for you. It is very fast and all the artist, album and title information will be preserved perfectly. 1. Download TuneClone from http://www.tuneclone.com and install it. It is fully compatible with Windows XP and Vista. A virtual CD Burner will be installed. This virtual CD-RW will be used to convert music files. 2. Set the default CD Burner to TuneClon CD-RW at iTunes. Click menu Edit, select menu item Preferences..., and then select Advanced Tab. In order to keep the artist and title information of the music, the Include CD Text option should be checked. http://www.tuneclone.com/images/itunes_m4p_to_mp3_options.jpg 3. Create a playlist, and then add the files you want to convert into the playlist. 4. Click Burn Disc button at the bottom right of the main screen of iTunes. http://www.tuneclone.com/images/itune_m4p_mp3_burn_disc.jpg While the burning gets started, TuneClone will automatically convert the music file to MP3, WMA or WAV. You can open the manager screen to show all the converted music files. http://www.tuneclone.com/images/tuneclone-m4p-converter-screenshot1.jpg The most important step is to choose the cd burner. Then the software can convert the music files automatically. It is exceedingly easy when you want to batch convert lots of files.
