This no-frills step makes getting in and out of your truck bed a breeze. The spring-activated arm attaches firmly to the rear bumper brackets and supports the wide-stepping platform that swings down whenever pressure is applied. Our test truck was an '06 Dodge Ram 2500 that required no cutting, drilling, or modifications. Installation took about half an hour. With a few basic tools and a tube of Loctite it could be easily installed by a novice shade-tree mechanic. In typical AMP style, the black finish hides nicely under the bumper for a sharp fit and finish. With a little bit of pressure the step assembly swings into position.
