The larger HDS system displays are easy to read, and backlight adjustment is simple. Soft keys along the side and bottom of the device make scrolling through the applications and maps easy. The maps always show topography, and this can be switched between 2D and 3D. The HDS also shows speed, heading, engine performance, distance to destination, and distance traveled.
Having a dependable navigation system onboard our four-wheel rigs makes traveling cross-country or negotiating remote trails easier and safer, while also allowing us to store maps and waypoints for future reference.

We mounted the LWX-1 Sirius...
We mounted the LWX-1 Sirius Satellite Radio and the LRA 2400 HD Radar on a custom mount above the headache rack of our truck. The antennas offer real-time radar info and Sirius integrated weather/audio info. Our antenna mount was attached to the steel tubing by Poly Performance J-hook clamps. This allowed us to rotate the antennas out of harm's way, then easily move them back into position.

The HDS system has two ports for mapping software. The Freedom Maps cover every state in the U.S. with detailed street and highway maps and topography, such as elevation and depth. Each chart/region is stored on a 1GB memory card.

The Lowrance gimbal bracket was mounted on a Fourtreks modular mounting bracket . The modular billet aluminum bracket provided a safe and secure mounting point to the crossbar of the truck's rollcage.
