The Dana 35 axle found in the YJs and TJs suffers from breakage with hard use. Companies such as Superior offer this kit, which increases the shaft size to 1.31 inches and 30 splines for better reliability and strength, and even comes with a Detroit Locker. Older kits used a Lock-Right differential.
