Shock technology in the off-road world is born and bred in desert racing. Everything that is cool, high tech, or effective in the shock marketplace was developed first out on the high desert sands before it hits our trucks. We wanted to bring you some answers to the most common shock questions we get asked.
While researching shocks and suspension designs for an upcoming project vehicle, we spent a lot of time with the King family at their King Off-Road Racing Shocks facility in Garden Grove, California. Their shock shop uses aerospace technology, backed by the quality you can only find in a family-owned business whose products wear the family name. At the shop we drooled a lot and learned a lot, and we thought wed share some of the specifics.
