Autofab showed us the proper place to bend the beams (finger). This assures near-stock track-width and strength. Some hacks bend the beams at the small end (arrow). It’s easier to do but at the expense of strength and track width. You’ll notice the beam says “do not heat or bend.” Autofab believes they are plenty strong for normal use. For more abusive conditions the earlier forged nodular iron beams should be used. These beams do not have the warning label and are significantly stronger. View Related Article
