BFGoodrich Hankook Dynapro Toyo Open Country Tires - All Terrain Tires Shootout
|
All the tires were well broken in before the test, yet they still held up without any additional chipping, cracking, cuts, flats, or sidewall tears. This is a good indication that all three manufacturers used a quality rubber compound in the construction. Tires of lesser quality would have easily cut and flattened on the rocks. If a vehicle's tires are going to be aired down for trail traction, it's important to consider a tire's sidewall plies. The Dynapro RF10 and Open Country have two-ply polyester belts, and the BFG T/A KO has a three-ply polyester sidewall. View Related Article
