When most of us think of a classic Jeep, CJs and flatfenders often come to mind. And while rumors of a Jeep pickup have excited Mopar enthusiast for years, many forget about the fullsize Jeep trucks that used to fill dealer lots across America. These J-series pickups have huge potential. So when Blake Shepherd and his girlfriend Krystal Hardman decided to build a Jeep together, they made a great choice with the classic ’78 J-10 platform. While the J-truck now sports more tubing than sheetmetal, plenty aspects of the classic Jeep are still intact. Fitted with some extremely tough parts, the Honcho worked great throughout the week. The only thing better than the Honcho’s performance was the couple’s positive attitude and willingness to have fun no matter what.
