Some of our more astute readers may recognize Phil Dunievitz’s vintage pickup from the May ’08 cover and feature “Beautiful Beater.” This heavyweight F-250 has undergone quite a few changes since we spotlighted the classic in the magazine. So when Phil and his copilot, Alex Baker, sent in the application for the trip, we were happy to invite the fullsize enthusiast onboard. Though the trip started out well for the 500-horse monster, a low-speed rollover sent Phil to the hospital with a minor injury. This injury would ultimately force Phil and Alex to leave the UA sooner than planned, but with their sprits still held high. We have a feeling that this won’t be the last time you see the well-aged fullsize inside the magazine.
