July 2000 Whoops!

Whoops!

Dear 4-Wheel & Off-Road,
My friends and I decided to find some mud after a day of rockcrawling, and we stumbled across this hole. After a couple of passes, my buddy's Toyota got stuck, and then my other friend's Chevy became marooned when it went in to retrieve the 'Yota. I finally ventured in with my Tracker to rescue the two, but also became stuck.

Dear 4-Wheel & Off-Road,
I recently discovered that no matter what you think, it is never a good idea to go 'wheeling in your parents' driveway. The idea is even worse when they watch the whole thing!

Dear 4-Wheel & Off-Road,
On a Sunday afternoon after a big rainfall, I went 'wheeling at the local sandpit. I wound up finding some large ruts in the middle of a puddle and ended up going for a swim. After a few hours of jacking, pulling, and changing all the fluids, my '76 F-150 was ready for another day.
