We know the last thing on your mind when you get stuck is, "How can I take the best possible shot for the magazine?" Hey, we appreciate the fact that you get anything at all to send us. So, we've dedicated these pages of your Whoops! to you, the stuck wheeler.

HELPFUL FRIENDS
After a day of lacrosse practice, I decided to take my truck muddin'. Once I realized I was beyond stuck, I called a buddy to pull me out. But first we had to see if he could pick up this rock since that was more important.

IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS
Everything was going good until an exhaust hanger broke. No big deal, right? We got yanked out minutes later by another Jeep. Oh well, you ain't been wheelin' until you get stuck or break something.

FORD FRIER
I was in Jefferson, Ohio, when I fried my starter while trying to get unstuck from this little incident.

If by some chance you do remember, a hint or two next time you're stuck: Don't shoot too far away if it's dark out, don't shoot into the light if it's sunny out, try not to shoot a flash directly at a mirror, and please stand out of the way of working people while taking the shot!

When you get home, send your shots to:
4 Wheel & Off-Road
6420 Wilshire Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90048

or by e-mail to jerrod.jones@primedia.com.
Try to make them at least 1600x1200 pixels, and in a TIFF or maximum-quality (or largest file size) JPEG format, and remember to include the image and the text.

VIDEO Whoops

Guidelines for Video Whoops!

Send us all relevant footage, but please keep total footage to no more than 20-30 minutes, or at least organized into sub-folders. Final featured video clips will be edited to between 1.5 to 2 minutes in length. Getting stuck is cool, but recovering is even cooler! We want to see you being winched out, pulled out, or just powering out with plenty of spinning and splatter!

Technical Requirements
Video Whoops! footage is accepted on Mini-DV tape (preferred), or burned on Mac-formatted CD-R / DVD-R's as a .mov, .avi, or .mpg file. The size of the clip should be 320 x 240. Since submitted media cannot be returned, if you want to keep a copy, we recommend getting the footage duplicated, or save it on your computer and burn a DVD before sending us the tape or disc. Videos will be posted at the editor's discretion. Please send your Video Whoops! to:

TOY BOAT, TOY BOAT, TOY BOAT
A couple of my friends and I were out playing in Berwick, Minnesota, when the water got a little deep.

TOPAZ OR NOT TO PASS
I got a little bored one day and drove my '89 Mercury Topaz through the biggest mudhole I could find. Eat your heart out, 4x4s.

BIGGEST STUCK EVER?
During my deployment to Iraq, I got caught in one of the worst sandstorms in history. While driving the Marine Corps' new 7-ton truck in a convoy, visibility was reduced to nothing and I had no idea there was a 6- to 8-foot ditch on each side of the road until it was too late. It took two wreckers and a few hours to recover the truck.
