OLD HAND AT IT
Some friends and I were on a trail that I'd been down a dozen times when I went to play in a little hole. I knew I was in trouble when I started pushing mud with my doors. After two winches, about 20 guys, numerous chains, and a couple cases of you-know-what, we finally got a good friend to bring out his dozer.

LOCALS ONLY
One day I went to our local holes where the big boys go with 44-inch tires. I was in my Bronco II with 33-inch Thornbirds and a whole lot of "Do you think I can make it?"

DO IT YOURSELFER
I drove over this small hill and found this gullywash. I'm proud to say that this only required a self-extraction using a Hi-Lift Jack.

FROM THE MEDINA MUD MAFIA
Some friends and I were in Yellow Creek on our third trip to the area when we decided to give a try in the Gator Pit. I made it on the first trip out there, but this time it got the best of my Jeep. Just to give you an idea of how deep this hole is, I have 8 inches of lift and 39-inch Swampers on my Jeep.

WATER HURTS
A buddy of mine and I were wheelin' near the Washita River when we found this deep hole. My buddy in the blue truck tried to pull me out after I got stuck. His truck was totaled--end of story.

WHAT ARE BROTHERS FOR?
My brother let me drive his Jeep while he rode with a friend. Little did we know that we were driving on a seasonal lakebed that was nothing but mud under a thin, crusty surface. It took 20 hours, dozens of logs and boards, two Hi-Lifts, and two other Jeeps to finally get out. Yeah, it was worth it!

EAGER STUCK WHEELER
This happened the day after I received the Apr. '03 Whoops! issue of your mag. My neighbor couldn't get me out with his Chevy; it took his 1750 Case to yank me out. My wife asked me what I'd learned. I told her, "I need front and rear lockers!"
