Mess of the month
North Pole Plunge
On a recent wheeling outing in Northern Alaska I was driving my Land Cruiser down a hill when the transmission popped out of gear and suddenly I had no brakes. Needing to get it stopped before we got moving too fast, I aimed toward the bushes, and before I knew it the LC was on its side. Luckily the new Optima battery had enough juice to power the winch so we could get it back on all fours. Thanks for publishing all those "rollover safety tip" articles. The info really came in handy.
The puddle looked innocent enough, but it turned out to be a 5-foot-deep truck eater. I even managed to burn up the winch while attempting to get unstuck!
