June 2010 Whoops!

Mess Of The Month

Oval Under
Apparently the ruts on the right side are a little deeper than they used to be!

Mud Craven
After my buddy got stuck in this same spot I thought I might be able to make it through with my Jeep. Guess I was wrong! Though the quicksand muck did swallow my boots, it could have been a lot worse!

Rock Bottom
My friend was following me through a creek crossing when he got a little off course and slid into some big rocks. The temperature was in the 30s, so our recovery effort was a chilly experience. In the end it took us 13 hours to get the Ranger out of the water and running well enough to limp back to the start of the trail.
